History of AEM
AEM was founded in 1987 by John Concialdi and Bob Sulivan. Started as a tuning performance shop, they focused on fixing up vintage vehicles, and the latest trends in street racing modified imports. Both founders had a lot of technical knowledge, along with a creativity and drive to push things forward, and faster. This is what brought them to the AEM we know today.
About ten years after opening, AEM was open 24/7, always needing to be available for the next street racer to stop by. They then went onto design one of the first Packaged Air Induction Systems, a design that came from their experience in dyno testing. Starting in 1994, AEM began producing intake kits to upgrade the Honda CRX. Nowadays, their induction system types run into the hundreds, meaning they are still in the game in a huge way.
